APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using COMPARE to reduce MAXPARTITIONS for an implicit
  tablespace, report indicates that 'Max Partition can't be less
  than the previous setting...'
  
  When using ALT to reduce MAXPARTITIONS for an implicit
  tablespace, error message  'New 'Max Partitions' value could not
  be less then original.' is displayed.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ALT and Object Compare are unable to    *

  *                      implicit table space.                   *
  ****************************************************************
  When ALT is used to reduce MAXPARTITIONS of an implicit table
  space, the following invalid error is displayed:
  "New 'Max Partitions' value could not be less then original."
  
  When Object Compare is used to reduce MAXPARTITIONS of an
  implicit table space, the following invalid error is displayed:
  "(W)Max Partitions can't be less than the previous setting
  which was ..."
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
