PH65288: IBM MQ Z/OS: CSQY039I IS ERRONEOUSLY ISSUED WHEN FORWARD MIGRATING

Error description

• Message CSQY039I is erroneously issued when forward migrating
  from a release which can't be backwards migrated to. An attempt
  to backwards migrate to the release will result in messages
  CSQY039I and CSQY042E being issued, followed by the QMGR
  backwards migration terminating with reason 00E80084.

  *                      migration is supported. However, when   *
  *                      attempting to backwards migrate, an     *
  *                      abend occurs after CSQY039I and         *
  *                      CSQY042E are issued.                    *

  The code which handles the identification of supported releases
  for a backwards migration did not set Version 9 Release 1
  Modification 0 as an unsupported version, which causes CSQY039I
  to be erroneously issued when forwards migrating.
  

Problem conclusion

• Version 9 Release 1 Modification 0 has been set as an
  unsupported release for backwards migration when migrating from
  Release 1 Modification 0 to Release 4 Modification 0.
