    ****************************************************************
IBM IMS Queue Control Facility for z/OS 4.1 provides the Queue
Overflow Protection function for the shared-queues environment.
However, at first release level, modifying the parameters of the
Queue Overflow Protection function requires recycling the IMS
    control region.
This APAR provides the function in QCF ISPF UI to modify
parameters of the following control statements without
    recycling the IMS control region:
    - LQAREA control statement
    - LQBUFMAX control statement
    - QSUNSHRDQ control statement
    - SQTHRESHOLD control statement
Additionally, this APAR changes the IMS Environment panel to
    show the following information:
    - The version number of the IMS subsystem in vv.r.m format
    - The APAR level of the QCF component

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • QCF has been modified to modify the parameters of the Queue
Overflow Protection function for the shared-queues environment
using TSO client (ISPF interface) without recycling the IMS
    control region.
To use this new function in the shared-queues environment, you
must customize and use sample JCL members IQCSTRTJ and IQCSTRTQ
in the hlqual.SIQCSAMP data set to allocate data sets for messag
    processing.
