PH65016: IMS HANG DURING REBUILD OF OSAMCACHE STRUCTURE IN CF AFTER ISSUING "SETXCF START,REALLOCATE" COMMAND

Error description

• IMS Hangs  following "SETXCF START,REALLOCATE" command while
  rebuilding OSAMCACHE structure in Coupling Facility. This
  problem only occurs when ZAD/PRIMEPSA (IGVDGNPP) is enabled.
  The following error is seen following this command:
  "IXL040E CONNECTOR NAME: IXCLO0C30002, JOBNAME: dlisas, ASID:
  xxxx nnn HAS NOT RESPONDED TO THE REBUILD QUIESCE EVENT.
  REBUILD PROCESSING FOR STRUCTURE OSAMCACHEx CANNOT CONTINUE."

• Run without ZAD/PRIMEPSA (IGVDGNPP) enabled

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *

  * The following error is seen after issuing the SETXCF         *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF.                     *
  ****************************************************************
  With IGVDGNPP enabled, the low core values will not equal to
  zero, then the code in module DFSDVSM0 after label UPAD1250 will
  fall through to the DFSDXFEN macro call. Register 4 will equal
  to zero causing low core to be accessed and the test for flag
  BUFCBSYR in IDABUFC will not be equal to zero. When macro
  DFSDXFEN is called inappropriately, then SCDVXCNT will
  unconditionally be decremented to less than zero.  With SCDVXCNT
  never equal to zero and waiting in module DFSDCFR0 subroutine
  RBLDQSE after having checked the SCDVXCNT and SCDOXCNT fields
  for zero. Since the count field will not be equal to zero the
  wait will never get posted and IMS will hang.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code is added in module DFSDVSM0 after label UPAD1250 to check
  the BUFC address ( UPABUFC ) for zero. If zero, branch to label
  UPAD2000 to skip the DFSDXFEN macro call.
