Error description
The issue of missing Liberty features after performing a rollback, via the IBM Installation Manager GUI, occurs when the Liberty version rolling back to does not have features that exist in the current version. For example, versionless features were introduced in 24.0.0.x and do not exist in previous versions of Liberty. Previous versions of Liberty use version-specific features. This difference leads to incompatibility issues and removal of the features during rollback. Example of errors can include: CRIMA1186E: An issue has occurred with the package that cannot be resolved by Installation Manager. and CWWKF1259E: Unable to obtain the following assets: com.ibm.websphere.appserver.wsSecurity-1.1 com.ibm.websphere.appserver.openidConnectServer-1.0 com.ibm.websphere.appserver.oauth2.0 ...
Local fix
To avoid this issue, use the imcl command line tool to perform the rollback. If the rollback has already been performed via the GUI and the feature have been removed, you will need to reinstall the missing features.
