Error description

  • When the DNS Cache for a URIMAP is disabled using the feature
    toggle delivered by PH63454, CEMT INQUIRE URIMAP shows the
    resolved IP Address as 0.0.0.0 incorrectly.

    *                      wrong resolved IP address if the URIMAP *
    *                      DNS cache is disabled.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    APAR PH63454 provided a new feature toggle to disable the URIMAP
    DNS cache. However when the cache is disabled an INQURE URIMAP
    (or any other tool that queries the resolved IP address) will
    show the resolved IP address as 0.0.0.0 and the Ipfamily as
    'unknown'.
    

Problem conclusion

  • UI98907 UI98908
    CICS has been updated to retrieve the correct resolved IP
    address regardless of the cache status.
