PH64135: CICSPA-I-113 SUPPORT NOOFIELDS OPTION TO SUPPRESS ORIGIN SECTIONIN TRANSACTION TRACKING LIST REPORT

Error description

• The Tracking List report is very useful but the number of lines
  of the report is huge, like millions of lines for just a 5
  minutes data window. This report is used as input into another
  system/step that will process the data and generate insights
  and the size of the report has an impact on the processing time
  and the storage space used.
  
  We can reduce the report size by simply removing the
  source/origin header block and entering this information into
  the group section using GFIELDS parameters with Origin fields.
  
  See the attached example report where I expect to reduce the
  size of the report by 30%.
  
  So, the idea is to have a parameter like "NOOFIELDS" that omits
  this block of information.

  CICS Performance Analyzer Ideas CICSPA-I-112 and CICSPA-I-113
  request options to reduce the size of the generated Transaction
  Tracking List report by optionally excluding the Origin section
  and/or Orphan transactions. The options to be provided are:
  -  Option NOOFIELDS omits the Origin transaction detail section
     from the report. The Group section, which includes the
     originating transaction details, is unaffected by this
     option.
  -  Option NOORPHANS omits all Orphan transactions, i.e.
     transactions that are missing task records.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR introduces the following Transaction Tracking List
  report options to address Ideas CICSPA-I-112 and CICSPA-I-113:
  -  Option NOOFIELDS omits the Origin transaction detail section
     from the report. The Group section, which includes the
     originating transaction details, is unaffected by this
     option.
  -  Option NOORPHANS omits all Orphan transactions, i.e.
     transactions that are missing task records.
