  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR updates IBM zDIH to           *
  *                      version 2.1.3.0.                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Install these PTFs.                          *

  This APAR delivers the following fixes/features for IBM zDIH:
  - IMS core system integration with zDIH: With zDIH integration,
    IMS transaction application can share real-time information
    with Hybrid cloud applications when a transaction commits.
    The zDIH caches are updated in the exact order of transactions
    as in the source of truth.
  
  - IMS Transaction Manager generic zDIH log stream writer: For
    IMS transaction applications, zDIH provides a generic IMS log
    stream writer that is used in conjunction with an IMS TM
    commit exit to ensure ordered updates of transaction
    information gets written to a configured zDIH log stream.
  - IMS zDIH initialiser and payload storage creator: For
    IMS Message Processing Region (MPR), zDIH provides a
    configurable initialisation module to customize the
    zDIH integration to the MPR region. zDIH also provides a
    payload storage creator to obtain storage to build zDIH
    payload during transaction processing.
  
  - IBM zDIH Kafka Source Connector: zDIH provides a Kafka source
    connector to consume information from Hybrid cloud to z/OS
    applications. Updates to Kafka topics is automatically
    consumed by the zDIH Kafka source connector and reflect in
    real-time to zDIH caches.
  
  - SAF and LDAP based security for zDIH server: Enabled SAF based
    security for zDIH server, ensuring z/OS standards of security
    for zDIH caches.  zDIH applications can use SAF token based
    authentication to avoid specifying password in the
    configuration file. zDIH also supports SAF basic and LDAP
    based authentication and authorization.
  
  - LDAP-SAF integrated security for zDIH Management Center:
    Integrated LDAP based authentication/authorisation with SAF
    security for zDIH Management Center, provides more flexibility
    to manage Management Center users with LDAP level security and
    admin userid with z/OS level security to connect  to zDIH
    cluster.
  
  - JWT based security for zDIH REST application: zDIH provides
    JWT based authentication and authorisation for zDIH REST
    application by deploying on WebSphere Liberty.
  
  - z/OS command line support for IBM zDIH: z/OS user with
    sufficient permission can stop or display zDIH server
    information using  STOP and MODIFY commands in z/OS.
    zDIH Administrator can SHUTDOWN the zDIH server at cluster or
    member level. Also, provides the ability to display the
    cluster and member details for z/OS command line.
  
  - Web UI based Application Generator: zDIH provides the ability
    to generate zDIH applications using a web user interface by
    loading COBOL copybooks, select the interested fields and
    customise it to generate the zDIH application, simplify the
    application generation by avoiding the need to update the
    configuration file.
  
  - Verification of zDIH installation: zDIH provides a command
    line interface to verify the zDIH installation and
    configuration, a convenient way to confirm that zDIH
    environment is properly installed and configured.
  
  - zDIH client extension for zDIH application: zDIH provides a
    client extension to easily configure SAF or basic security for
    the zDIH applications, simplify the integration of enterprise
    level security into your zDIH application.
  
  - Enhanced capabilities for the zDIH Developer Kit:
    Generate zDIH applications automatically with enterprise level
    security, handle multiple dataset names and pattern for
    priming, more options in configuration yaml and web user
    interface to customise the generated application, enhanced
    copybook validation.
  
  - Template Applications for IMS zDIH integration:
    Sample IMS transaction application with zDIH exit to build the
    zDIH payload for automatically writing to the zDIH log stream
    during the transaction commit.
  

Problem conclusion

• Install these PTFs in order to run the 2.1.3.0 level of zDIH.
