PH63329: ARCHIVE FILE ON TAPE LOSING EXPIRATION DATE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is performing ARCHIVE processing using TAPE for the
  ARCHIVE file and assigning an expiration date to the data set.
  The resulting ARCHIVE file is missing the expiration date
  causing it to be deleted, or overwritten, prematurely.

  Prior APAR PH57307 corrected processing of ARCHIVE files with
  retention dates located on DISK but it regressed processing
  of TAPE files.
  

Problem conclusion

• Optim processing will be corrected.
