PH63158: SDC (SECURITY DEFINITION CAPTURE) RECORDS ARE NOT CAPTURED FOR APPLICATIONS INVOKED VIA ECI OVER TCPIP

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• SDC (Security Definition Capture) records are not captured for
  applications invoked via ECI over TCPIP.
  e.g. invoked by ECI via CICS Transaction Gateway.
  
  This is because SDC is configured for a specific userid, however
  in this scenario the ODUSERID for the mirror task is the region
  userid not the expected task userid so it does not match.

  *                      invoked via ECI over TCPIP (e.g. from   *
  *                      CICS Transaction Gateway).              *
  ****************************************************************
  When Security Definition Capture (SDC) is activated for an
  application invoked via ECI over TCPIP, you do not see the
  expected SDC records. Instead, you see the following response
  when stopping SDC:

  "message":"SDC TURNED OFF, NO RECORDS CAPTURED" }
  
  The reason that no records are captured is because the mirror
  task ODUSERID field is the region user ID not the expected task
  user ID.
  

Problem conclusion

• Security Definition Capture (SDC) within CICS has been updated
  to ensure that applications invoked via ECI over TCPIP are
  correctly recorded.
  
  The ODUSERID monitoring field for mirror tasks attached via ECI
  over TCPIP will now be the mirror task user ID rather than the
  region user ID.
