PH63017: COMPARE FAILS TO DROP AND RECREATE VIEW WHEN PROCESSING ALTER TABLE RENAME COLUMN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Compare fails to drop and recreate a view that is not present on
  the source when processing a ALTER TABLE RENAME COLUMN
  statement. This leads to SQLCODE = -750 as the view is still
  present. Compare should properly drop and recreate the view to
  allow for the alter to complete successfully.

  When importing ALTER TABLE RENAME COLUMN statements, Object
  Compare fails to drop and recreate the views when analyzing
  the statements. This behavior can result in an SQLCODE -750.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved. When analyzing, Compare will
  recreate the views if any columns of its referenced tables
  are renamed.
