PH62902: ALTER PARTITION ERRORS ON PBR TABLESPACE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On a PBR Tablespace and when we go the ALTPART panel (ADB27CPV)
  we get one of 2 errors when selecting NEXT (with no actual
  changes to the partitioning limit keys).
  
  One error is:
  
  ISPT034
  
  
  
  Table is not open
  
  
  Other errors, or on different LPARs/Members of the same Db2
  get the following:
  
  "Limit key values are not in proper ascending or descending
  order" even though the limit keys weren't changed, suggesting
  they should be valid as they are what the tablespace is
  currently using.

  When you issue the ALT line command on a PBR table space
  and issue the ALTPART primary command, panel ADB27CPV
  'Alter Partitioned Table' lists partition limit keys. Pressing
  Enter on this panel without changing any limit key values
  incorrectly generates the following error:
  
  ADB448W Limit key values are not in proper ascending or
  descending order
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
