Error description

  • When using the File Manager plug-in and performing a function
that causes an enqueue on a dataset, if the connection is lost
between the plug-in and the FM spawned process, the enqueue may
still remain which would prevent another user from editing the
dataset until the FM process terminates.

Network disruptions between the File Manager plug-in for Eclipse
and the FM address space on z/OS can cause enqueues to remain in
place until the TCPCONFIG INTERVAL has been reached.

Problem conclusion

  • A new ADFzCC server configuration parameter has been provided
that can be used to override the default keep alive interval.
