Error description

  • The AD server dynamically allocates the RECON datasets to obtain
the database information. However, since they are not
deallocated, the AD server continues to hold the RECON datasets.

    Although the AD server received:
DSP1141I RECON LOSS NOTIFICATION RECEIVED, JOB=adserver
Another job that tried to enqueue the RECON received:
IEF861I FOLLOWING RESERVED DATA SET NAMES UNAVAILABLE
    IEF863I DSN = ims.recon RC = 04 RSN = 00000000 FROM SERVICE ENQ
*IEF099I JOB WAITING FOR DATA SETS

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Autonomics Director server *
    * continues to hold the RECON datasets. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR and *
    * restart the Autonomics Director server. *
    ****************************************************************
The Autonomics Director client retrieves the database
information from the AD server when displaying the database list
with the AD client. The AD server dynamically allocates the
RECON data sets to obtain the database information. However,
since they are not deallocated, the AD server continues to hold
    the RECON data sets.

Problem conclusion

  • To avoid this situation, the AD server has been corrected to
release all data sets allocated. If the AD server still holds
the RECON data sets, deallocate them with the following command:

    REFRESH SERVER NAME(server_name) TYPE(RECON) OPTION(DEALLOC)

And provide an option to deallocate RECON data sets using the
    ISPF interface.
