PH62165: DFHSM0002 RESULT FROM A BAD FREEMAIN ADDRESS BEING PASSED TO STORAGE MANAGER

Error description

• DFHSM0002 result from a bad freemain address being passed to
  storage manager.  May occur when RDSASZE is coded as a SIT
  parameter which causes DFHDHSM to check if it can free of
  any DOCTEMPLATEs that are in cache storage.

  In the reported problem, a DFHSM0002 code X'0305' error arose
  when DFHDHSM attempted to FREEMAIN a TLD during manipulation
  of the TLD Chain. There was no locking around the chain
  manipulation and the error was caused by an invalid FREEMAIN
  address being passed to STORAGE MANAGER. The user had:
  RDSASZE=512K coded as a SIT over-ride, this caused DSA
  management to be more zealous resulting in the aforementioned
  chain manipulation.  Removing the RDSASZE=512K was the
  workaround.

• This APAR is being closed FIN with concurrence from the
  submitting customer. This means that a fix to this APAR is
  expected to be delivered from IBM in a release which is being
  developed at the time that the APAR was closed.
  
  The latest release of the product to exit development at the
  time this APAR was closed was CICS Transaction Server for
  z/OS 6.2.
