PH61960: ITX VALID() FUNCTION ON Z/OS CICS FAILING TO CORRECTLY PROCESS THE RETURN CODE OF A SUB MAP CALLED BY A RUN() FUNCTION

Error description

• This issue affects IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX)
  running on the z/OS CICS platform.  When a RUN() function is
  wrapped in a VALID() function, the valid can unexpectedly 'trip'
  the FAIL side, when a warning code is returned.
  

Local fix

• ITXCQ - ITX00062537

  As a workaround, the VALID() can be removed, and replace with an
  IF() function, testing for a 0 return code.
