PH61841: REBUILD MISSING FOR AN ALTERED INDEX RESULTS IN RUNSTATS UTILITY FAILURE

Error description

• A PRIMARY KEY has been changed
  
  An INDEX has been ALTERED to add a new column
  
  A new INDEX has been created.
  
  Compare has been executed with:
  Run REORG/REBUILD . . . M (Mandatory, All relevant, None)
  Run RUNSTATS . . . . . B (after: Reload/Alter/Both/Min/None)
  
  Rebuild is missing for an changed index.
  Altering an index to append a new column results in rebuild
  pending state. This causes RUNSTATS utility to generate the
  following warning message:

  When the RUNSTATS utility is then run, it fails with the

  A user runs Object Comparsion Tool with the following options:
  Run REORG/REBUILD . . . M
  Run RUNSTATS  . . . . . B
  
  One of the resulting changes from the comparison is to alter an
  existing index to add a new column. However, the REBUILD INDEX
  utility is missing from the generated job. Therefore, the
  altered index remains in REBUILD-pending status, and the
  subsequent RUNSTATS utility fails with the following error:
  
  ADB5184E ADBTEP2 The run is ending due to an error with a
  non-SQL command. Additional messages may have been sent to the
  DD SYSTSPRT
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue has been resolved.
