Problem summary

  • This issue is about some errors which appeared in a COBOL
program build, when the SQL conversion function TO_CHAR was
called in a mixed expression inside of a "SELECT CASE ...WHEN
... THEN... ELSE... END" SQL statement.
The errors which appeared were kind of:
  
Token:      WORKING_STORAGE    Text: 'TO-CHAR'
  
Token:      ITEMDESCRIPTION        Text: '('

Problem conclusion

  • The issue was fixed with code changes.
