Error description
When IMS catalog is not registered in DBRC, the following errors occur: - When a blank exists between "UNREGCATLG=" and "(' in the DFSDF member, ABEND0C4 occurs at ATY#TRAC and FABXADSC. - When IMS Administration Tool calls DFSRRC00 with BMP region type, DFSRRC00 issues a DFS047A message with a reason code = 20 and then ABENDU3303.

Problem conclusion
IMS Administration has been modified as follows: - Parse UNREGCATLG= keyword of DFSDF member correctly to resolve ABEND0C4. - DFSRRC00 is called with DL/I and DBRC=N instead of BMP when the IMS catalog database is not registered to DBRC. ABEND U3303 is resolved by this change in the following functions. - Database and Application Administration > Object Explorer - Database and Application Administration > Compare > Compare IMS Directory and IMS Catalog - IMS Catalog and ACBLIB Management > IMS Catalog Space and DBD/PSB Analysis - IMS Catalog and ACBLIB Management > Import Objects - The following functions are changed not to be invoked when the IMS catalog database is not registered to DBRC to avoid Abend 3303. It is because they need to run in BMP, however, IMS does not support BMP with the unregistered IMS catalog and issues ABEND U3303. The functions are now documented as restrictions for the unregistered IMS catalog in the Administration Tool's users guide. - IMS Catalog and ACBLIB Management > IMS Catalog Space and DBD/PSB Analysis > View DBD/PSB Detail Report Delete All and Delete Instance commands - Database and Application Administration > DBD/PSB Resource Change IMS Catalog Populate - IMS SPUFI To resolve the abends, apply the PTF for APAR PH61716 to IMS Library Integrity Utilities. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== IMS Administration Tool for z/OS Version 1 Release 1 User's Guide and Reference (SC27-9011) is updated.
