  Creation of cluster members includes a validation step in which
  it
  chooses the best template for the new member definition. In
  large
  environments, this process requires a tremendous amount of
  reading
  of application data, which can greatly slow down the vertical
  scaling process. In these scenarios, it can be more expedient to
  skip this validation step and simply create a new template.
  

Problem conclusion

• A new parameter, "skipValidation", was added to the
  createClusterMember command. The new parameter is not required a
  defaults to false, maintaining existing behavior.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix packs
  8.5.5.27 and 9.0.5.22. For more information, see 'Recommended
