PH61469: Z/OS DEBUGGER - THE IMS BMP PARM FIELD CONTAINS EQAN0DBG INSTEAD OF THE ACTUAL APPLICATION PROGRAM

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• An IMS BMP can be started under debugger by substituting
  EQAN0DBG for the application program name in the JCL, and adding
  a ddname, EQANMDBG, to specify the actual application program
  e.g.
  
  //  EXEC PGM=DFSRRC00,PARM='BMP,EQAN0DBG,...'
  //EQANMDBG DD *
  MYPGM,TEST(,EQACMD,,VTAM%...:)
  
  However, the application program (MYPGM) might examine the PARM
  string expecting to find its own name rather than EQAN0DBG.
  This would lead to incorrect results.
  
  Debugger must replace the EQAN0DBG in the PARM with the name of
  the target program before calling the program.
