PH61408: IMS CATALOG RECOVERY SPECIFYING LASTIC GENERATES JOB WITH PITR

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On System Recovery Options panel, when Recovery Type=3 is
  specified for LASTIC the generated job has RECOVER_TO_TS
  instead of RECOVER_TO_LASTIC.

Problem summary

  *                      not work for IMS catalog DB             *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply maintenance.                           *
  ****************************************************************
  When the following conditions are all met, setting LASTPITCA (2)
  LASTIC (3) or INITONLY (4) for "Recovery Type" field on
  "System Recovery Options" does not work for the system recovery
  profile containing IMS catalog DB.
   - "Use System Recovery Profiles" is set to Y on
     "Disaster Recovery Profile".
   - "Recover IMS catalog first" is set to Y on
     "Disaster Recovery Profile".
   - One of system recovery profiles contains IMS catalog DB.
  In this case, recovery type PITR (1) is used regardless of
  recovery type stetting.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been fixed.
