PH61365: INCORRECT TEMPLATE NAME IN CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is doing Change Management analyze with a CHGULD
  template created from the Admin panel that uses Substring from
  SSID in the template data set name ( e.g. SSID(4) - which is
  supposed to only use the 4th character in the SSID). However,
  the analyze creates the CHGULD template data set name
  incorrectly - using all 4 chars of the SSID.

  *                      for the last character of a template    *
  *                      variable in the data set name.          *

  On panel ADB25TE, a user specifies a template with a substring
  value to get the last character of a template variable. For
  example: SSID(4). The template is used in a CM analyze job
  and is incorrect in the JCL, as the variable is converted to
  the entire 4-character value instead of the one character that
  the substring requested.
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue has been resolved.
