Error description
Too large of a number (if it uses the sign bit of a 4-byte field) may cause: CQM2604E VSAM LOGIC ERROR VSAMRC=X'08' VSAMRS=X'0010'.
Local fix
Edit the first record of the CQM Interval File by changing columns 29-32 with the new interval number (x'00000001')
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Query Monitor for z/OS. * **************************************************************** Too large of a number (if it uses the sign bit of a 4-byte field) may cause: CQM2604E VSAM LOGIC ERROR VSAMRC=X'08' VSAMRS=X'0010'.
Problem conclusion
The interval number will now be automatically reset to 1 after it reaches 99999. The interval data set will be automatically converted to a new format during the first started task control (STC) start after this fix is applied. In the case of fallback, backward conversion will happen automatically but not further than PH63913 (UI99218). Therefore, after applying this fix (for PH61186), you should not fall back to PTFs earlier than UI99218. If an error occurs during the interval data set conversion, error message CQM2411E is returned. In the case of successful conversion, no related messages are added to the log. Action: Make a backup of your interval data set prior to starting the Db2 Query Monitor started task with PH61186 using sample member CQM#RPRO. Full timestamps are now displayed on the Interval Selection panel. New offload parameters STARTING_INTERVAL_TIMESTAMP and ENDING_INTERVAL_TIMESTAMP were added. These parameters are required when specifying absolute (positive) STARTING_INTERVAL and ENDING_INTERVAL values. You can get values for these parameters from the START column on the Interval Selection panel. These new parameters are not required when relative (negative) values are specified for STARTING_INTERVAL and ENDING_INTERVAL. The ODP mapping JAR file was updated to reflect the interval data set update. Action: Reinstall this JAR file.
