PH61070: Include support for DATE/TIME and other column types for the ALTER/RENAME COLUMN option

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A user enters command AL from panel ADB21T to rename DATE
  column. Choosing the Alter/Rename column option and then
  entering the AL line command on the column that has a DATE data
  type gives this error message:
  
  ADB592E ALTER/RENAME column supports only these types: SMALLINT,
  INTEGER, BIGINT, DECIMAL, DECFLOAT, FLOAT, CHAR, VARCHAR,
  GRAPHIC, VARG, BINARY, VARBIN, CLOB, BLOB, DBCLOB.
  
  Db2 allows rename of DATE column and the Admin Tool user's guide
  does not list any restrictions on renaming DATE column.

  When the AL line command is used on panel ADB21TC to rename a
  column of type DATE or TIMESTMP, the following error message
  occurs:
  ADB592E ALTER/RENAME column supports only these types:
  SMALLINT, INTEGER,
  BIGINT, DECIMAL, DECFLOAT, FLOAT, CHAR, VARCHAR, GRAPHIC, VARG,
  BINARY,
  VARBIN, CLOB, BLOB, DBCLOB.
  
  The ability to rename columns needs to be allowed for the
  following types:
  TIME, DATE, TIMESTAMP, TIMESTMP and XML.
