APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The records of the unloaded data are unduly padded with low
    values (i.e. 0x00 / binary zeroes)
This occurs when all the following conditions are fulfilled:
    - the use of zIIP processors is enabled (i.e. either the ZIIP n
option or the VUX039/ZIIP parmib parameter specifies a
    percentage greater than 0)
    - zIIP processors are available
    - the applicable padding character (specified by the PADDING
option, if any, and depends on the output format and CCSID
    otherwise) is different from 0x00

Local fix

  • Run the unload with the use of zIIP processor disabled by
    specifying the ZIIP OFF option.
