Error description

  • When the IIDR target engine terminates unexpectedly a high
number of persistent subscriptions from the same source system,
the subscription auto-restart feature may require multiple
attempts because the size of the connection accept queue for the
target TCP/IP stack is saturated and rejects any other
connection requests. In such a situation, the messages CHC6455E
and CHC9694W are issued after the messages CHC0055I, CHC0057I
    and CHC0056I.

Local fix

  • Reduce the number of persistent subscriptions for the same IIDR
    target

In certain conditions, when the IIDR target engine terminates
unexpectedly and then is recovered during the subscription
auto-restart interval, not all persistent subscriptions can
auto-restart successfully on their first attempt.

Problem conclusion

  • A mechanism for pacing the auto-restart feature of a group of
    subscriptions simultaneously is implemented.
