PH60552: IMAGE COPY MISSING OR INCORRECT WITH CERTAIN PARAMETERS USING CM BATCH

Error description

• Errors that are related to image copy
  1. users is doing changes to two tables, one is a drop/create
  change and the other is a alter add column to the end of the
  table. When user has RUN_RUNSTATS = 'M' and TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY =
  'B' in their CM batch JCL, the image copy for the drop/create
  table is missing.
  2. User is doing an alter that causes a drop/create change with
  parameters, TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY = 'R' and
  UTIL_LISTDEF_PARTLEVEL='Y' in their CM batch JCL, the result is
  the image copy is not done with LISTDEF as it should be.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR addresses two image copy      *
  *                      problems during a change:               *

  *                      1. The Change Management (CM) batch JCL *
  *                      has RUN_RUNSTATS = 'M' and              *
  *                      TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY = 'B' for two        *
  *                      tables. One table is being dropped and  *
  *                      re-created; the image copy for this     *
  *                      table is missing.                       *

  *                      2. The CM batch JCL has                 *
  *                      TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY = 'R' and            *
  *                      UTIL_LISTDEF_PARTLEVEL='Y' for          *
  *                      partitioned objects. LISTDEF is         *
  *                      missing. As a result, the image         *
  *                      copy is not done with LISTDEF as        *
  *                      it should be.                           *

  This APAR addresses the following two scenarios:
  
  1. A user is changing two tables. One change requires a drop and
  create, and the other change alters the table to add a column to
  the end. The CM batch job has the options RUN_RUNSTATS = 'M' and
  TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY = 'B'. The image copy for the table that
  needs to be dropped and re-created is missing.
  
  2. A user is performing an alter operation that results in a
  change that requires a partitioned object to be dropped and
  re-created. The CM batch JCL has the options
  TAKE_AN_IMAGE_COPY = 'R' and UTIL_LISTDEF_PARTLEVEL ='Y' but no
  LISTDEF. The result is that the image copy is not done with
  LISTDEF as it should be.
  

Problem conclusion
