PH60165: UNABLE TO LOGON TO TCP SERVER FROM DAI IVP WITH MIXED-CASE PASSWORDS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Users with mixed-case passwords cannot log on to the TCP server
  from the DAI IVP because the DAI IVP converts passwords to
  uppercase before passing them to the TCP server.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users with mixed-case passwords cannot  *
  *                      log on to the TCP server from the DAI   *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  Although the DAI supports mixed-case passwords, users with
  mixed-case passwords cannot log on to the TCP server from the
  DAI IVP because the DAI IVP converts the passwords to uppercase
  before passing them to the TCP server.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following module has been modified to no longer convert
  passwords to uppercase:
    AAIIEXEC(AIIIVP)
