Error description

• Db2 Admin Tool jobs that use ADBTEP2 might encounter
  ABEND 414 and hang when the SYSPRINT DD
  statement references a data set rather
  than SYSOUT.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In rare instances, Db2 Admin Tool jobs  *
  *                      that use ADBTEP2 might encounter        *
  *                      ABEND 414 and hang when the SYSPRINT DD *
  *                      statement references a data set rather  *
  *                      than SYSOUT.                            *
  *                                                              *
  *                      This error is due to a conflict in the  *
  *                      use of SYSPRINT DD by Db2 Admin Tool    *
  *                      and external services that it calls,    *
  *                      such as REXX utility IRXSTK and TSO.    *
  ****************************************************************
  This change resolves the problem by introducing a separate DD
  name for ADBTEP2 output. Now, when present in the JCL, ADBSYSPT
  DD is used by ADBTEP2 instead of SYSPRINT DD. When ADBTEP2 is
  executed using existing JCL that does not have ADBSYSPT DD,
  SYSPRINT DD is still used for ADBTEP2 output.
  
  A new batch execution option for ADBTEP2 controls the inclusion
  of ADBSYSPT DD in ADBTEP2 job steps. The default is to not
  include it. However, this option is not available for systems
  running JES3. ADBSYSPT DD is always included in ADBTEP2 job
  steps for systems running JES3.
