• This APAR provides a new level of Apache Spark for z/OS,
  Apache Spark 3.5.1.  Please review all ++HOLD information and

• This PTF updates IBM Z Platform for Apache Spark 1.1.0.
  
  New features are included:
  - Apache Spark 3.5.1
  - In addition to Apache Spark 3.5, IBM Z Platform for
     Apache Spark has been updated to:
     a. Support Java 17 on z/OS when using Spark 3.5
     b. Allow the Web UI ports (e.g. 8080, etc.) to use
        AT-TLS port security and use "https://" to ensure
        encryption of the data from Spark to the web browser.
        (This must be separately configured. Please reference
        the July 2024 Installation & Customization Guide.)
     Note that these features are exclusively on Spark 3.5, and
     not available on Spark 3.2.
  
  Restrictions and notes:
  - The Apache Spark "Spark Connect" feature is
    not supported.
  - The Apache Spark "resource profiles" feature is not
    supported.
  - This release of Spark supports z/OS version V2.5 and above.
  - Note that this release of Spark should be run on Bash 5.2.

    and Customization Guide (GI13-5809) for details.
  
  Please note that Spark 3.2 will be removed in a future PTF.
