Error description

  • IBM Transformation Extender Certified OpenShift Container does
not allow for setting of the desired time zone.

Local fix

  • ITXCQ - ITX00062299
    TR / TR
    Circumvention:
In the CD 2.0.1 Helm Charts package, there is the configmap.yaml
file under 'templates' folder. Add the following in a separate
line at the end of the file under 'data' section like other
'ITX_RS_XXX" environment variables. The environment variables
specified in the configmap.yaml would be used/set for the
    container environment. Set the following:

    TZ: EST+5EDT,M3.2.0/2,M11.1.0/2

NOTE: YAML is strict when it comes to indentation. Please note
to use proper indentation when adding this environment variable
TZ to the existing list of variables.

Also, EST+5EDT,M3.2.0/2,M11.1.0/2 means TZ set to EDT for 2nd
Sunday in March to 1st Sunday in November, both at 2AM.

This is intended as an example to give an idea about the syntax
meaning for the TZ environment variable specified above.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender Users of IBM Certified Runtime
Server and/or Red Hat Scanned Launcher Server

    Problem Description:
Runtime Server image created from UBI8-Minimal base image has
not included Time zone information leading to a failure when TZ
environment variable is set with Country/City syntax.

    Platforms Affected:
    Linux

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed a problem with Runtime Server and Launcher Server
container images where they now include Time zone information
installed to allow user to specify TZ setting with County/City
    syntax.

    Applies to:
    10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.0

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
