APAR status

Error description

• After a coupling facility failure, CICS issues message:
  
  DFHFC7084 OPEN of coupling facility data table dddd for file
  ffff, pool pppp, has failed because the table cannot be found.
  
  However, CICS trace does not include an exception trace entry
  from module DFHFCDO as expected.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a file reopen fails because a CFDT   *
  *                      has not been loaded, no exception trace *
  *                      entry is produced.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  If a file reopen fails because a CFDT has not been loaded,
  message DFHFC7084 is issued but no accompanying exception trace
  entry is produced. Such an entry would assist in problem
  diagnosis when other tracing is turned off.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHFCDO has been changed so that, an exception trace entry is
  written to accompany the message DFHFC7084.
  The IBM Documentation for CICS TS 6.x will be refreshed
  to add the following to the System Action for message DFHFC7084:
  "An exception trace point is written."
