Error description

  • When a large number of persistent subscriptions are configured
with the same CDC target engine, the auto-restart for all of the
persistence subscriptions would trigger many connection requests
instantaneously, which may exceed the size of the connection
accept queue for the target TCP/IP stack and cause some of the
connection requests to be dropped. When such a situation occurs,
the source engine issues the messages, CHC6455E from CMO task
and CHC9694W from SCT task, several minutes after the CHC0220I
message for the same subscription's SCT task is seen.

Under some conditions, not all the persistent subscriptions can
auto-restart successfully on their first attempt.

Problem conclusion

  • A mechanism for pacing the startup of a group of subscriptions
    simultaneously is implemented.
