Error description

  • A logical unload processed in native mode produces output fields
with an incorrect scale (incorrout) for a decimal column with a
positive scale. The integer part is written as the fractional
part. For example, if a SMALLINT column with a value of 10 has
been converted into a DECIMAL(5,2) column, the unloaded value
    represents 0.10 instead of 10.00.
This occurs if all the following conditions are met:
    - the affected column DECIMAL column results from an alteration
from a SMALLINT or BIGINT column
    - there are still records in the former formats, IE. where the
altered column still has the original representation of the
numerical value (as a SMALLINT or BIGINT data)

Local fix

  • run the unload in SQL mode by specifying the DB2 FORCE option or
    REORG the involved tablespace.
