    customer specified user defined templates in the JCL and when
    the CM batch JCL was run, it failed due to an error in a

    customer's user defined template list did not have any duplicate

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using Change Management (CM) batch *
    * to run a change, it fails due to an *
    * error with a template. The error *
    * reports that the template was defined *
    *                      with a duplicate UNIT keyword.          *
    * After the template definitions are *
    * fixed, the LOAD utility cannot load *
    * the changed table due to invalid input *
    * data that was converted during the CM *
    *                      batch job.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The user is using CM batch to run a change with templates,
    and two of those template definitions use the same template
    name. This repeated name causes duplication in the template
    definition, and the job fails with the following utility
    message:
          DSNU094I DSNUGPTC - KEYWORD 'UNIT' IS DUPLICATED

    After this problem is fixed, the CM batch job runs the LOAD
    utility. However, the data is not loaded into the table,
    because the DATE column data is not converted correctly to
    TIMESTAMP column data as called for by the change. This problem
    occurs only with ASCII data. The following message is included
    in the output:
          DSNU310I DSNURCON - RECORD (1) WILL BE DISCARDED DUE TO
                   CONVERSION ERROR FOR TSSCHEMA.TB1
                   ERROR CODE '14 - INPUT IS INVALID FOR DATE/TIME'

Problem conclusion

  • The problems have been addressed.
