PH59109: AFTER AN MCL UPGRADE, THE INSTALLATION OF THE ACCELERATOR ON A LINUXONE III SYSTEM CANNOT BE COMPLETED (NO BUTTONS ON ADMIN UI)

Error description

• The installation of Accelerator maintenance level 7.5.12 on a
  LinuxOne III (model 8562-LT2, z15) IBM Z-system is accompanied
  by an upgrade of the MCL to DC41 Bundle S84a (in acordance with
  the recommendations of the accelerator prereq web page).
  The installation of the accelerator cannot be completed and is
  stuck as the screens of the accelerator's Admin UI are shown
  incompletely, in particular the panels do not show buttons to
  proceed.
  
  The root cause for this issue is in the firmware component
  ssc-installer of the CEC which doesn't work properly if the
  language of the browser used is different from US English.

Local fix

• Changing the browser language to English followed by clearing
  the browser's cache will make the buttons of the Admin UI appear
  again.

  Problem Symptoms:

Problem conclusion

• The issue was fixed
  - for z15 with MCL patch P46655.016 released on Aug 12, 2024 in
    driver D41C Bundle S88
  - for z16 with MCL patch P30763.002 released on Feb 24, 2023 in
    driver D51C Bundle S14.
  Upgrade the MCL level accordingly on the LinuxONE-systems
  running the Accelerator software.
