APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After startup, CICS reports an OSGi bundle status as installed
    and disabled yet the applications contained with it can be used.
    
    
    The joblog shows :
    
    DFHRL0107 The CICS resource lifecycle manager has started to
              create the BUNDLE resource xxxxxx
    DFHRL0108 CSSY The CICS resource lifecycle manager is in the
              process of creating the BUNDLE resource xxxxxx
              and the  BUNDLE is in the enabling state.
    DFHSJ1105 OSGi bundle xxxxxx version 1.0.0 from BUNDLE xxxxxx
              has been installed as Disabled.
    DFHRL0132 CRLR All defined resources for BUNDLE MONIADD1 are
              now in the enabled state.
    DFHSJ0919 JVMSERVER xxxxxx is processing any queued bundles.
    DFHSJ0915 JVMSERVER xxxxxx is now enabled and is ready for use.
    DFHRL0132 CJSR All defined resources for BUNDLE xxxxxx are now
              in the disabled state.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: OSGi application BUNDLE installed in    *
    *                      Liberty JVM server shows as Disabled    *
    *                      despite being enabled.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    When an OSGi application BUNDLE is installed in a Liberty JVM
    server, its status may appear as Disabled.
    The OSGi bundle will be active within the JVM server and the
    application will be useable.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed so that the OSGi application BUNDLE will
    now show as Enabled correctly when it is enabled.
