  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Z Performance and Capacity  *
  *                 Analytics 3.1.0 who use Cognos Reports.      *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1) Long term support for Cognos 11.1.7  *
  *                         has ended. Cognos 11.2.4 is the new  *
  *                         LTS release.                         *
  *                      2) When an IBM Z Performance and        *
  *                         Capacity Analytics report is run in  *
  *                         Cognos and the component is not      *
  *                         installed, the error message         *
  *                         displayed is not user friendly.      *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTFs.                     *
  ****************************************************************
  1) IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics 3.1.0 does not have
     support for IBM Cognos 11.2.4.
  2) IBM Z Performance and Capacity Analytics 3.1.0 does not
     generate a user friendly error message or provide useful
     information when a Cognos report is run without the required
     component installed.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1) IBM Cognos 11.2.4 report and metadata binaries have been
     provided. Users who are on a version below 11.2.4 will
     continue using the existing report and metadata binaries in
     Cognos.
  2) Updated reports are provided for Cognos 11.1.7 and 11.2.4
     such that when a Cognos report is run without the required
     component installed, a message is displayed listing the
     missing components and sub-components. Drill-through links
     provide additional component, table and SMF record
     information.
