• CUSTOMER ACCIDENTALLY ISSUED SET SYSPARM LOAD COMMAND WITH OTHER
  Db2 SUBSYSTEM ZPARM LOAD MODULE.
  CUSTOMER NOTICED THAT CATALOG SUBSYSTEM PARAMETER CAN BE CHANGED
  BY SET SYSPARM COMMAND.
  Db2 DOES NOT ISSUE MESSAGE DSNZ014I TO INDICATE PARAMETER CANNOT
  BE CHANGED ONLINE.
  NON-ONLINE CHANGEABLE SUBSYSTEM PARAMETER SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED
  BY SET SYSPARM COMMAND.

  The CATALOG subsystem parameter currently is being processed by
  the -SET SYSPARM command as an online changeable subsystem
  parameter, although it is not an online changeable subsystem
  parameter.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR provides the fix to ensure that the CATALOG subsystem
  parameter cannot be changed online. Db2 will provide a
  message DSNZ014I to indicate the CATALOG parameter cannot be
  changed online if a user tries to use -SET SYSPARM command to
  change it.
