**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: GDPS Global - GM * * * * keywords: GDPSGM/K * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: GDPS Global fix package 2024-02 * **************************************************************** Problems addressed in GDPS Global - GM: - A failure during restore and validation of the DASD configuration during GDPS initialization is not clearly reported for GDPS GM and may go unnoticed. (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - If the CopyOnce process fails to remove some device(s) from the GM session, message GEO605I telling that CopyOnce devices have been removed is still issued and the process finishes with RC=0 even if all CopyOnce devices were not removed. This results in subsequent SDF alerts for GEO682E CCA/LUN FOUND IS NOT PART OF GDPS CONFIG. (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - GM session status panels VPCPGMT0 and VPCPGMR0 truncate disk site if more than 6 characters are used. (4.6) - GM session status panel VPCPGMT0 might be unable to find GEOGROUP information for Kp systems and displays 'Unknown' for Metro Mirror on the panel. (4.6, 4.7) - Updated help text for message GEO682E CCA/LUN FOUND IS NOT PART OF GDPS CONFIG (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - Updated help text for message GEO683E ALL DEVICES ARE NOT IN SESSION (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - Updated help text for message GEO3209I SUSPEND OF ALTERNATE GM LEG PERFORMED FOR SESSION (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - If GDASD RECOVER is run consecutive times when manipulating the GM PPRC status in between, it might fail with a REXX error for Bad Arithmetic Conversion when referencing REXX variable fcq_m_relnum. (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) - When refreshing bundle information from the DSS List panel VPCPDSL2 for a DSS in the opposite region, the refresh completes successfully, but a REXX error for 'Returned value not a whole number' can be seen in the controlling system Netlog in the opposite region. (4.5, 4.6, 4.7)
