Error description

  • The TCP connection may be disconnected before the logon error
    message is transmitted, and the DAI client may not be able to
    receive the error response.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the DAI server detects a logon     *
    *                      error, it returns an error message to   *
    *                      the DAI client and requests that the    *
    *                      socket be forcefully closed. This may   *
    *                      cause the TCP connection to be          *
    *                      disconnected before the DAI client      *
    *                      receives an error response.             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF for this APAR.                 *
    ****************************************************************
    When the DAI server detects a logon error, it returns an error
    message to the DAI client and requests that the socket be closed
    with the LINGER option set to a value of 0. This setting causes
    the socket to be closed immediately even if there is unsent data
    on the socket, which could cause the TCP connection to be
    disconnected before the DAI client receives the error response.
    

Problem conclusion
