Error description

  • Timezones are not interpreted correctly when comparing dates.
    
    For example, date-time values with different time zones which
    correspond to the same UTC time may be regarded as distinct when
    compared.

  • Users Affected:
    IBM Transformation Extender users who compares date-time values
    which use different time zones.
    
    Problem Description:
    Comparisons of date-time values which are associated with
    different time zones are incorrect. For example, date-time
    values with different time zones which correspond to the same
    UTC time may be regarded as distinct when compared.
    
    Platforms Affected:
    All
    

Problem conclusion

  • The function which compares date-time values normalizes the
    values to UTC for comparison when the values are associated with
     time zones. This normalization calculation was corrected.
    Previously, the sign of a UTC offset was inverted relative to
    what it should be.
    
    Applies to:
    10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.0, 11.0.0.0
    
    Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
