Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS *
    *                 and Db2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS      *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR adds an enhancement for *
    * managing application compatibility for *
    *                      expression-based indexes and support    *
    * for the ALTER INDEX REGENERATE USING *
    *                      APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY statement.    *
    ****************************************************************
    The APPLCOMPAT and environment-related information
    for expression-based indexes is now displayed
    on panels ADB21X, ADB21XI1 and ADB21ENV.

    Panel ADB21ENV is now horizontally scrollable and contains
    SYSENV information.

    For expression-based indexes, the ENV line command displays
    environment information on the ADB21ENV panel, the AL line
    command allows you to regenerate the index and alter the
    APPLCOMPAT value, and the ALT line command allows you to
    alter the APPLCOMPAT value for the index.
    Object Compare now supports ignores of SYSENVIRONMENT.APPLCOMPAT
    on the ignore panels. For expression-based indexes, Object
    Compare checks for an APPLCOMPAT ignore before generating
    changes ALTER INDEX REGENERATE USING APPLICATION COMPATABILITY
    For views Object Compare checks for an APPLCOMPAT ignore before
    generating changes ALTER VIEW REGENERATE USING APPLICATION
    COMPATABILITY.

    For expression-based indexes, Object Compare now supports
    generating ALTER INDEX index_name REGENERATE USING APPLICATION
    COMPATIBILITY source_applcompat, when the source and target
    index are same, but the target APPLCOMPAT value is different
    than source APPLCOMPAT value.
