Error description

• CSQ5038I is generated erroneously during a timing window
  between when the Db2 monitor task in CSQ5MONR checks the state
  of a Db2 server task and the server task is processing a
  request.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A CSQ5038I message, reporting a DB2     *
  *                      request hanging for more than 60        *
  *                      seconds, may erroneously be issued with *
  *                      the time frame in the message being     *
  *                      shorter than 60 seconds.                *
  ****************************************************************
  The code handling the DB2 request hanging checks saves a local
  copy of the current time before getting the request start time
  from the DB2 task. If the request start time is updated after
  the current time is recorded but before the request start time
  is saved locally the function calculating the time difference
  interprets the negative time difference as a large positive
  difference resulting in a CSQ5038I message being issued
  erroneously.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been changed to save a copy of the request start
  time before the current time is recorded to eliminate the
  possibility of the current time being lower than the request
  start time.
