APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Multiple programs were not saved in the DB due to "Error
collecting semantics" error (caused by missing includes in Data
Division), one of them due to an END_IF syntax error -which was
actually caused by missing includes.

Problem summary

  • Multiple programs were not saved in the DB due to "Error
collecting semantics" error (caused by missing includes in Data
Division), one of them due to an END_IF syntax error -which was
actually caused by missing includes.

Problem conclusion

  • Even though having the copybooks would make the error
disappear in some cases, in some others didn't so code was
modified to accommodate both / all the situations encountered in
these sample programs.
