PH56960: CMOD SERVER 10.5.0.7 WITH SSL PORT ENABLED MAY FAIL WITH: ARS0154E ARSMSG UNABLE TO ESTABLISH SERVER COMMUNICATIONS WITH NETWORK

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If SSL is enabled for the CMOD server (e.g. SSL_PORT=11445 in
  ars.ini file) and the CMOD server version is 10.5.0.7, then the
  CMOD server ARSSOCKD may fail to start.
  The message in ARSSOCKD will be:  ARS0154E Unable to establish
  server communications with network. The return code is 2
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ARS0154E ARSMSG Unable to establish     *
  *                      server communications with network      *
  *                      issued by 10.5.0.7 when FIPS mode is    *
  *                      enabled.                                *
  ****************************************************************
  By default, the server will attempt to run in FIPS mode.
  Starting with 10.5.0.7, the
  server will attempt to enable TLS 1.3. TLS 1.3 is not currently
  supported in FIPS mode causing the error.
  

Problem conclusion

• ARGGSKOD is changed to not fail if TLS 1.3 is not supported.
