APAR status

Error description

  • When the SV203 (Line Item Charge Amount) has a content that is
10 digits in length (8 base digits and 2 decimal places) similar
to 12345678.99, the resulting 277CA output for the Monetary
Amount (SVC02) in the SVC segment displays a value of 0.

Problem Description:
When SV203 is 10 digits (8 base decimal point 2 decimal) the
resulting SVC02 in the 277CA output is 0.

Platforms Affected:
ALL

Problem conclusion

  • Updated functional maps in x12clr277catxn for all claim
transactions to correctly output in the 277CA SVC segment a
numeric value that is the  max size permitted (up to 8 before
and 2 digits after the decimal point).


Applies to:
Healthcare Pack HIPAA 10.1.0, 10.2.0, 10.2.1, 10.2.2.

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
