Error description

• DataMover goes into a loop when a fatal log stream error message
  occurs. This causes millions of additional messages.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. The DataMover does not terminate     *
  *                         when error message DRLJ0294E is      *
  *                         issued.                              *

  *                      2. When the DataMover writes records    *
  *                         to a coupling facility log stream    *
  *                         in asynchronous mode,                *
  *                         unpredictable results sometimes      *
  *                         occur.                               *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTFs provided.                     *

  1. The DataMover does not shutdown when fatal log stream
     error occurs.
  
  2. When the DataMover writes records to a coupling facility
     log stream in asynchronous mode, unpredictable results
     can occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. The DataMover terminates when error message DRLJ0294E is
     issued.
  
  2. The DataMover writes records to a log stream in
     synchronous mode. Writing records in asynchronous mode has
     been disabled.
