  * IFCID 411 and IFCID 412 are controlled                       *
  * by the STATIME_MAIN system parameter.                        *
  * IFCID 365 is also controlled by                              *
  * STATIME_MAIN when DCC is running.                            *
  * These three Distributed Data Facility                        *
  * (DDF) traces typically very large                            *
  * with many repeating sections that span                       *
  * multiple trace entries per timer                             *
  * interval.                                                    *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Db2ZAI recommends the timer be set to 10 seconds to reduce the
  SMF volume generated by the location statistics and the size of
  the Db2ZAI tables related to these statistics. However, some
  diagnostic tools are asking Db2 for z/OS customers to set
  STATIME_MAIN to 5 seconds which causes an increase in SMF
  volume and Db2ZAI location table sizes.

• This APAR adds a new Db2 subsystem parameter, STATIME_DDF, to
  control the interval of location statistics trace records
  IFCID0365, IFCID0411 and IFCID0412. It defaults to zero which
  keeps the existing behavior for compatibility reasons. It
  allows for a time interval from 5 seconds to 5 minutes in 5
  second intervals for all three traces.
